Default Limewire+BT Home Hub+Vista = My hair has fallen out

I give up trying to connect with this! I'm going nuts here! Can someone help me please?

I'd say your problem is with BT as they are known to shape p2p bandwidth...

2. What firewalls you have?
Standard Vista and AVG

3. How much ram?
Errr...Not sure..Think its 100MB

4. Hard Disk space available?
90 GB or so

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
Broadband

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
BT Home Hub

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?
Home

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
BT

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Could you tell me the model number for your BT HomeHub..
Also what version of Java you are using...

Ok...Here are the instructions to Port Forward this will open a port in your modem router to let limewire pass through...
Port Forwarding for the BT Home Hub

Also try updating your Java...
Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

Don't give up tomorrows another day..

When you Port Forwarded did you enter the same number (just the one number) into all the boxes you where instructed to ?? It has to be the same number for the TCP and the UDP..
Also did you enter that same number into the maunual port forward and the listen port boxes and select apply within Limewire ??

Yep...Did exactly what the instructions asked on that URL you showed me..I'm gonna uninstall the java programme and install the one you reccommended
