Cool New to Limewire, can't Connect

Okay, I'm new to limewire, here are my answers to the questions. I only have one green bar on connection, I do have a firewall but Limewire is listed as exception.

If you have problems you can't solve then please post a thread giving the following details:

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows Vista
2. What firewalls you have? Windows
3. How much ram? 1014
4. Hard Disk space available? Not sure, should be alot
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
Modem Name: Conexant D850 PCI V.92 Modem

7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of FrostWire (FW) & Java do you have? (Go to FW's menu Help>About FW...) Will show both FW & Java version. Limewire 4.12.15 - Java 1.6.0_01
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Windstream
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No
11. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Actually 2nd time downloading Limewire, old computer it wouldn't work either last year.
12. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? Yes, but Limewire is added

Have a look at this post it's about Windstreams firewall....

Also try changing your Java Version...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

If none of the above do the trick could you tell me what security you are using...

Try changing ports, see if that makes any difference. In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 64049 (or try others in the range of 49152 - 65535) > Apply > ok.

Usually when you get the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, it means that your ISP is blocking Limewire...
Try using limewire at different times of the day, especially outside of peak hours and see if that helps any...
Also you could give your ISP a call and ask them if they have a Fair Use Policy in place and if they block p2p traffic in your area...

See if a new install will help...
Uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...To find the offline installer, use the link below > cancel the installer window when it pop's up and then select the offline installer link...
Lime Wire » Download LimeWire

If that doesn't do the trick try this...
Right-click the Limewire icon and go to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version.

Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!)

Hey got a question....... I tried all you said and none of it worked, but I did try to do the test again and it told me that there was a firewall blocking it. Now I have Limewire added to be allowed but is there anyway I have more than one firewall going? if so how do I find it. I thought it might be in my AVG I have installed. Heck< I don't know I'm grasping at straws..........

It's not AVG, not the free edition....

I tried looking up your modem and came up with nothing about it having a Nat Firewall...Do you use a router ??
