I have been using LW for 3 months and in that time I have had problems launching it (it won't open). I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it several, times and it works, but now the icon on the lower left of LW shows that I have a firewall issue. I have called my ISP, and Norton to see if it was a problem with them, they walked me through steps to check it and it's not a problem with them it's a LW problem. Please help. :w00t:

Are you fully connected to the network (ie do you have all green or blue connection bars)?

Do you have an external modem or router?

Make sure that the Windows firewall is off, because that'll conflict with the Norton firewall. Go back through the config of your Norton firewall & make sure that LW's being allowed.

If you're not fully connected (not seeing green connection bars) try uninstalling Norton & LW, then reinstall LW first & then reinstall Norton. a couple of other Vista users have found that uninstalling their firewall & LW. This person had success with doing the same thing with their Norton;)

I have norton also.

You have to uninstall both of them, then reinstall Limewire first, than Norton.
