Default Vista Support

I have installed Limewire in Vista and get the one bar connection problem.
Vista is up to date and I am only using the Windows firewall. Limewire is checked as an exception and I have added the listening port as well which I believe is 26400. I ran the test through my web browser and it said that I passed.

My router is has its firewall turned off and I have enabled UDP.
I have been able to connect to Limewire with my old computer just fine.

Any Ideas?

Cheers

Default vista support

hi,
yeah i had the same problem - only i had zone alarm installed too.
Dont really know why it eventually worked - cos it dont make sense - heres what i did-

1) uninstalled zone alarm
2) ran limewire (wall shows up - 1 bar)
3) turned windows firewall off
4) closed limewire
5) opened limewire (no wall - full connection)
6) turned on windows firewall (wall returns - connection stays)
7) reinstalled zone alarm

hope it helps

piiing

ps i didnt bother with the listening port malarky either ( something I'd previously tried too! )
