Angry BSoD >.<

Hello there,

I went thru all the tutorials in this forums and unfortunatelly it didnt solved my problem... so here it is:

I've been using Limewire free version for a while but lately i've got a BSoD (Bluescreen of death) problem... after loading up LW and waited a few sec, BAM ... BSoD... then 4-5sec after.. reboots! >.<

asked my friend, which i remembered who had the same probleme earlier, what solved his probleme... he only bought the PRO version of LW.. so decided to also..

Unfortunately, got the same ****** probleme..

Uninstall LW... Uninstall Java.. update video drivers... reinstall java... reinstall LW... load up LW... BAM..... >.< BSoD...

went thru LOTR's links... nothing works.. >.<

Any idea?

Btw, im a PRO user of LW for those who didnt noticed it before

Im up to try anything to solve this probleme, shoot posibility away! waiting for answer..

Ooooh...

bsod

We are, maybe, going to need a lot more system info and history from you !

1st, though...

Have you tried any Safe Mode startups ?
Meaning, hit F8 just after your BIOS load stuff finishes...

Is it the true blue bsod with absolutely nada for info or do you get some white text on blue ? (Don't worry for now if the latter is the case but it all disappears before you can read it.)

Most bsod probs are from bad driver (.dll) installs.

You will... WILL get help here, so don't PANIC !

btw... IMPORTANT btw..
Simply buying and trying to install the 'Pro' version is NOT an answer.
The problem is elsewhere so beware of the hope for quick fix€$

nope i haven't tryed any "safe mode" as you said, didnt though it could solve anything since normally, i dont need to boot under "safe mode" to install any appz

Yes it is the real BSoD (is there fake ones? o.0)

yes there's some text on the BSoD but as i said before, its on the screen for up to 5sec at most >.< ... all i noticed was something like: stop: 0x0000***

and i know that normally BSoD isnt solved by "buying" a full version of something but well, my friend told me it solved his probs so i wanted to try, is it a wste of cash? only you will be able to tell but I do trust that you dont want to loose any customer

Tell me what you need to know and i'll do my best to answer your questions, looking forward for the next question...

try to replicate the error process and take serious note of the message on the screen...

also, please list your exact system specifications (processor, RAM amount, HDD space, MoBo (or manufacturer of machine), PSU specs and make)...

Hi...

Nope, I did not mean to boot in Safe Mode in order to 'install' any apps...
Rather, it was to first see if the simple act of booting in Safe Mode might 'fix' your problem... You would not believe how often that simple trick works !

Main point though was to be able to 'remove' apps and especially .dll files...

Try taking a 'foto' of your bsod error message - honest !

Last question for now may also seem a bit crazy, but... How 'old' is the memory installed in your comp ? Many probs that appear to be related to one particular app often are resolved as being a hardware prob...

Thumbs up

the memory is brand new since the comp is brand new, its been home for like... 2weeks now? but since im not the one who bought it and that im not home atm, i'll need to wait till tomorrow for posting exact specs and i'll try to see if anyhow i can find a numeric kodak to take a pic of the BSoD it might help a lot to solve the probleme, good point ^^ so I should post it tomorrow

the reason I ask for your system specs is to make some 'guess' as to if anything therein might be part of your problem...the fact that its brand new actually means nothing...
