Question "Currently connecting"

Hello,
I am a new LimeWire user. Everything was working well at first, but during the last few days, I have had problems connecting. The lower-left corner has one small green bar and 4 red bars, and it says "You are currently connecting to the network." When this appears, I can't search for anything, which is frustrating!

I use windows Vista, have Norton anti-virus, and contect to the Internet via a Netgear router. None of these settings have changed from when LimeWire DID work correctly.

Has this happened to anyone else, or can anyone suggest a solution to this problem?
