Unable to connect
 

Just downloaded and paid for the latest version of Limewire and I am unable to connect. I have added all the recommended exception and even turned off all the firewalls and still nothing.

1. OS version: MS Vista Ultimate
2. Firewalls: Zone Alarm
3. RAM: 2 GB
4. Hard Disk: 1 TB
5. Connection type: DSL 6.0
6. Router: LinkSys Router
7. Connect from apartment complex
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) 4.14.8 & Java 6
9. ISP: Bellsouth
10. http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ It says your test worked
11. No sharing
12. Used for a while... laptop can connect without a problem using older version.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnP is enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? ZoneAlarm
16. What country are you living in? USA

Uninstall LW & ZA. Then reinstall LW first & after that, reinstall ZA.
Can't connect using Vista

When you uninstall LW, don't do it via add/remove programs. Start > all programs > Limewire > use the uninstall option from there;)

If that doesn't help, try a different version of Java (some people have had connection probs with Java 1.6.0_02). Try this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java before you install this one.

Still not connecting? Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here.
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.
