Default Zone Alarm is stopping limewire working.

So I just bought a new laptop. It has Vista. Limewire worked fine with Zonealarm on my old computer. I Just downloaded Limewire 4.14.8. It says in the bottom left corner that its connecting, and it never changes. I shut down zone alarm, (I have Windows firewall off) and it still said that it detected a firewall, and it still didnt connect. Btw I have set Zonealarm so that it allows limewire to connect. I decided to uninstall zonealarm, and it connected! but I want to have zonealarm on my system because I like it, and it has worked previously with zonealarm on my old computer. i reinstalled it, and it stopped connecting again. Any ideas what is configured wrong so that its doing this all the time?

Other info:
2048 RAM
more than enough HDD space
Wired modem Broadband (Virgin Media ISP (A UK ISP)
that test thing on the sytem details topic worked
I use avast, but i assume that this isnt the problem as uninstalling zonealarm fixed it.

hope that helps you find a reason for this, its rather annoying lol.

Try uninstalling both LW & ZA, then reinstall LW first. After that, reinstall ZA. This has worked for a few Vista users...see post #6 of this thread
