![]() Is there a similar program to Limewire? I was not pleased with IMESH. We know it's not the router or cable company if my old winxp can run limewire and my new vista home premium suddenly can't. however, i started having issues with BitTorrent...restored to 3 days ago and is almost back to normal..almost. maybe, it's out of our control. |

![]() Well, I got so tired of changing things, I downloaded Frostwire and it works perfectly..If this sounds stupid it probably is...How would I know what to change the listening port to? I changed the listening port, restarted and changed it back and I saw no change on the Vista. I am not skilled enough to keep changing things on my pc, like registry keys, etc. I have done that to make Itunes work on Vista. Finally had to revert to a previous version to make it work. ![]() How did you try to uninstall it? If you used the control panel -> install/uninstall programs that is the incorrect way. Normal way is Start menu -> All Programs -> LW -> Uninstall. Try this: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html, however use your Pro installer instead. ![]() Also, delete your previous LW preferences folder before you reinstall: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) or for vista see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html |
