Hi conner8605,

What software are you using to convert (to DVD format) & burn files? If you're using Nero, there's a guide here.
Making a DVD Video using Nero 7 Premium

Use the forum search to look for convert DVD, burn DVD or something similar.
You could also try these sites, they have lots of info & guides.

Also, check what types of DVD discs your player supports (the manual should tell you) & make sure that you're burning to the right type of disc;)

Are your movies " divx " ? , if so , you need a divx-compatible dvd player . Hope this helps .

Another thing it could be , is the person you get the movies from dont have a fast connection . Stick to T1 or T3 and higher . Those download the quickest:).

You will have to convert the AVI Files to DVD Format. You will need Converting and Burning software to accomplish this.

VLC will not convert, it's just a Media Player. DVD Santa and Nero are recommended here on the Forums. This might be of some interest.
