Trouble Connecting

I am running Windows Vista on a new compaq laptop. Limewire was previously working and connecting like normal. Now when I try to use limewire it says "starting connection" and never connects. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it. I have windows firewall and have allowed limewire as well as turned the firewall off to see if that would help, it did not. Even with the windows firewall off, limewire still showed a brick wall in front of the globe indicating a firewall, however, I have no other firewall on this computer. I have tried looking through the forum and have had no luck. Please help me!

Have you thought about updating Limewire, your using a pretty old version...

jared0029 September 27th, 2007 02:22 PM

I should not need to update Limewire when the version was working perfectly fine. Whats the point in paying more money when I had a program that was suppose to do the same thing?
