 A Possible Fix For Connection Probs - A Suggestion - Any Comments ???
OK i found a temporary fix for my limewire connection problem. My version of limewire 4.14.10 kept crashing when it was loading peers. I uninstalled java version 6 and replaced it with 5 update 11. I ran it in xp compatibilty with admin privileges. (right click->properties->compatibilty) Then limewire stayed in leaf status and never tried to connect. I clicked on view-> show/hide-> connections. Went to the the connections tab. Clicked on "add".. I downloaded shareaza when limewire didnt work. Anyway in shareaza if you click on network you can see the address of who you're connected to manually type that in with the port shown in shareaza and limewire automatically starts connecting like it should. I hope this helps. I dont think Im alone experiencing issues lately. It would be easier if there was a list of people currently connected instead of using shareaza... |
