Hey guys.. I have just uploaded and run Spywarebot through my computer coz i downloaded some dodgy stuff the other day off LW and wanted to clean it out!! It discovered 89 "Parasites" so i ran the program to rid the computer of these "nasties"!!
When i had finished i went to open LW through the shortcut on my desktop and it said it was an invalid shortcut! So I went in through explorer and found that the .exe file for limewire, plus the sharing files and soforth had been "quarantined"!
I have Windows Vista and am a legitimite registered operator of limewire pro 14.10 (i think thats the version) ...
I hate to bother you but if anyone knows how to solve this i would be greatly appreciative.. Anything will help..I'm a techno bogan but trying to learn..Also i dont want to start old arguments up, but is there spyware on LW or is it just because it is a p2p sharing???

Some spyware programs will give a false positive for LW . See if you can make an exception for it through Spywarebot. The official release doesn't contain spyware though scam sites are known to put out versions that do. Make sure you've d/loaded it from the official site: Lime Wire » Download LimeWire

i Have just sent an email to spywarebot to tell me how to rectify the problem.
I will look into getting a couple of the other ones you have recommended..Cheers mate..your a lifesaver!!
