Sanddra (How do I dowload and burn movies)

Hi to all at LW forum. Looking forward to picking your brains. I know you'll get little from mine. So if I may, my first dolt of a question is how do I put an .avi file on a disc! Do I have to download in dvd movie file? What is T1 or T3 or higher mean.

I am using Vista.
