Problem with startup Hey I'm having a wierd problem. I have windows vista and limewire has worked fine with it. i havent made any changes to my computer or uploaded any new programs. limewire will allow me to click on it, and it opens, but then when it fully opens, it closes out by itself and when i go to click on the icon in my task tray...it disappears as if i never even opened it. limewire is working fine on my boyfriends side of the computer, its only on my side its not working! help please! |

Try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

okay i tried following sugested by this forum members 1) deleting the prefrence folder 2) reinstalling java' 3) reinstalling lw and antivirus 4) disabling firewall, also reinstalled it ..................... Now what? thrs nothing that could start the lw with vista is there any problm with the "registry editor" i dont knw whn i bought my new computer at that time the lw was working fine than after some period of time it just dont want to start and it closes down automatically |
