Zone Alarm is a firewall program, it protects your PC from being hacked, zombie bots, worms, unauthorised/unwanted entry and generally from anything that may attack your PC from the Internet.

However, to get the best from Zone Alarm, or any other software or hardware firewall, you have to read the user-guide and learn how to configure it properly.
