![]() Okay so I apologize in advance if this has been answered before. All of a sudden, Limewire wasn't working so I uninstalled and re-installed Limewire and it kept getting stuck at 12% (loading html engine). So I looked on these forums and found a solution to that (YAY). Now when I open Limewire, it says it's connected but I get no results and the bar on the lower left corner is only lit up to one green (the rest of the bars are red...it says connected though). Also, my internet doesn't work while Limewire is running!!!! Then when I disconnect I have to reboot my computer to get the internet to work again. What is up!!? Last time I used it a few weeks ago, everything was fine....now all this!!? Here's some info: I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, broadband connection through Comcast. My router is Linksys WRT54G and this test:http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ DOES work. I have plenty of space left on my hard drive. Thanks so much for any suggestions...Jessica Last edited by jessica76; October 18th, 2007 at 08:18 AM. |

![]() Make a note of all your settings. Then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Next time you open LW, go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Performance & disable Ultrapeer capabilities, and also disable Mojito capabilities. Go to Tools>Options>Connections & uncheck the option & press apply. Now each time you open LW, let it settle for a few minutes before using. Then go to File menu and choose connect. Double check your speed settings. Be sure you have not set upload & download speeds beyond what your connection is capable of. |
