changing visual themes when used

OS version: Vista Home Premium

Go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happened? Says: Your test worked!'

I have Home Premium and every time I load Limewire the theme changes to Basic instead of the default Aero. I'm currently running the latest installment of limewire and Java (6, Update 2), along with the fact that all my Windows update are updated.

I have one pic of what comes up when I load Limewire, and one of my limewire information. I did a program shot so you can see for proof that it does change basic.

How do I fix this? I'm want to keep Limewire on my computer, but not if it keeps doing this. It's not healthy for my computer.

Thanks in advance!

My guess & purely a guess is your system/graphic card settings for your monitor. Try changing the resolution setting to see if it keeps doing it.

Another thing to try is changing LW's skin (under view menu), as perhaps one of the skins has compatibility problems.

And something else to try is to change LW program compatibility to Windows 2000 /NT or whatever options it gives you ... try each one. Right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version.

I have not heard of this problem before.

Hehe, I had the compatibility set to XP instead of leaving it unchecked because once it wouldn't load and setting it to XP solved it, but now it's all fixed!

Thanks!
