![]() I just recently uninstalled Limewire from my Toshiba Satellite P200. About every 2 minutes, Limewire tries to start itself up, even though its uninstalled. Then, an error message pops up saying that an installation was unsuccessful and that some/all of the files are corrupted. What's going on with this? It's really annoying and I would really appreciate some help. Thanks. |

![]() Windows users should uninstall LW via start > all programs > Limewire > uninstall or C:\Program Files\Limewire\uninstall. If you've tried to uninstall via add/remove programs, that can cause some problems & in that case use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. Delete what you find. Sounds like you have a worm. There's a fix here to try, it's worked for a lot of people. Click on the link below. The easy fix for Limewire popping up every few seconds (try this first) And more info here. WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! ![]() thanks for the BFU program. It uninstalled some programs. Unfortunately, whenever the progress bar arrives at the halfway mark, the entire program freezes and i have to restart it. Here's some more information if it helps: The BFU freezes when it tries to delete file- Zeno Here's what the Limewire error message says exactly: "One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted intallation. Please try to download Limewire again" |

![]() Sorry, I don't know why the BFU would be freezing. Try updating your AV, scan your computer & then try with the BFU again if necessary. if you don't have an AV program, these three are all free. avast!
