Unhappy Big Limewire trouble (LW trying to start after being uninstalled)

I just recently uninstalled Limewire from my Toshiba Satellite P200. About every 2 minutes, Limewire tries to start itself up, even though its uninstalled. Then, an error message pops up saying that an installation was unsuccessful and that some/all of the files are corrupted. What's going on with this? It's really annoying and I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

Windows users should uninstall LW via start > all programs > Limewire > uninstall or C:\Program Files\Limewire\uninstall. If you've tried to uninstall via add/remove programs, that can cause some problems & in that case use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. Delete what you find.

Sounds like you have a worm. There's a fix here to try, it's worked for a lot of people. Click on the link below.
The easy fix for Limewire popping up every few seconds (try this first)

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan all files that you download before you open them.

thanks for the BFU program. It uninstalled some programs. Unfortunately, whenever the progress bar arrives at the halfway mark, the entire program freezes and i have to restart it. Here's some more information if it helps:
The BFU freezes when it tries to delete file- Zeno
Here's what the Limewire error message says exactly:
"One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted intallation. Please try to download Limewire again"

Sorry, I don't know why the BFU would be freezing. Try updating your AV, scan your computer & then try with the BFU again if necessary. if you don't have an AV program, these three are all free.
avast!

AVG free

Avira Antivir

Or there are links to online scans within this thread.

Otherwise, go to one of those help sites that I mentioned in my first post
