Default Limewire problems (music won't play)

I've been using Limewire for a long time, and have never had any problems with it. As a matter of fact, I just used it a few days ago to download and play songs, and it was working. Today I opened it to listen to some music, and nothing will play. I tried opening the songs in windows media player, and an error message came up. I don't get it. Can someone please help me with this? Figure out why it worked a few days ago, but now nothing will play? Thanks, I'd appreciate it!

Whats the error msg say? What type of files are they? Make sure they haven't been changed to zip or exe files.

Do a virus scan.

All of my files in Limewire are mp3.

This is the error message that pops up when I try to play them in windows media player: "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct."

There are no error messages that come up in Limewire, the songs just don't play.

Dogg, I would suggest VLC Media Player

WMP is a BIG PILE OF STEAMING CRAP. If you choose to keep WMP then you will continue to have these problems that are really not neccessary.

VLC Media Player is Free and one of the best available.

Lightbulb Limewire 4.16

I have a problem: I just recently downloaded the current updated version on Limewire for Windows Vista on a cable connection. When I did, my library was saved but when I try to play some of the songs they won't launch. I can see them saved on my HD but they just won't run using the Limewire Media Player.

Any Suggestions?
