Gnutella Forums - saying hi buy need help (connection problem)

I have limewire installed, but i do have the firewall logo on the bottom of my screen and when i go on the search menu to search for an song or artist a message pops up and it tell me that "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network." and it still don't return any search at all it only bring up the search screen with no results. i have tried to take limewire troubleshoot by taking off limewire in my excepation from my security setting then re-adding it but it still do the same thing. i do have vista home premium with intel core duo cpu gateway notebook; my securtiy system is micro trend antivirus 2007. but i don't know how to do exceptions in that program only in windows I did. Can someone please help me?
