Connection problems....help....I've tried everything 1. OS version? Vista 2. What firewalls you have?Norton 3. How much ram?Not sure 4. Hard Disk space available?plenty 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)Cable 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?Motorola, SBV5220 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?Apartment Complex 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Limewire 4.14.10Pro, Java 1.6.0_03 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Time Warner Cable 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Said your test worked 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Been using LW for about a month 13. Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Norton 16. What country are you living in? Try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

Try going to your Connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it... Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more... (try to take note of the hosts IP numbers if the same ones keep re-appearing add them to your host filter...) Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply... Try installing PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...
