Please Help (no search results)

I'm not very computer smart, I know the basics I guess. I had an old Windows ME computer and downloaded and used Limewire with no problems. I got a new Windows Vista laptop and downloaded it and for some reason no searches will come up. I try to use the troubleshooting but even then I get confused. Please help.
