Default Cannot connect in Vista, but could connect before!?

Hello, I'm new to your forums - and apologize that my first posting is to ask for help, rather than extending help.

Following is my system config., if needed: Vista Home Premium Edition X32/Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz/ram memory 3070MB.
Limewire vs 4.14.10/Java vs 1.6.0_03-b05/Avast Antivirus Home Edition/WinPatrol vs 12.2.2007/Spysweeper vs 5.5.7.103,
Broadcomm NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI-e Card/Netgear WGU624 wireless router.

Several weeks ago, I had to reinstall my operating system due to corrupt files that could not be corrected. Prior I had Limewire installed and had no problem connecting and downloading. Unfortunately, now I cannot connect nor download? I have UPnP enabled in my router. When I launched Limewire for the first time in the new OS install - Windows firewall launched and asked for permission to add an exception for Limewire - which I did. Please review the attachment.

I have visited your website and tried countless methods to try and correct this problem with no success. The mystery is being able to connect in Vista prior to reinstallation of the operating system, and now I cannot. I have checked my computer config., and nothing is different from before. Can someone help me determine what is wrong? Also, if it helps my ISP does not limit file sharing bandwith - my current broadband download speed is 6630Mb download and 520Kb upload. I am desperate - I hope someone can help.

Try Port Forwarding your router as it does have a Nat Firewall within...
These are your instructions....
Port Forwarding for the Netgear WGU624

If that doesn't help, try Birdy's tips in this sticky...

Thanks for the response wondering why. I will try to use the instructions to connect with LW. If your interested I'll post my results when I've gone thru the steps. Unfortunately, I did a clean uninstallation of LW, and I will now have to reinstall.

Thanks wondering why! Your instructions did it. I can now log into Limewire within Vista with no problems, with full connection speed. Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated. Have an awesome Holiday season!
