Unable to apply different skins

I've been wanting to change the skin of my program to metal due to the fact that every time I open it when it's as it's default skin, I almost get a freakin' seizure...But every time I try to change it to metal, a box appears in the middle of my screen which reads "The file you selected does not exist or is invalid. Please choose another file, or use the default." So, any help would be appreciated before I start foaming from the mouth.
