First connection problems

Hi its my first time using limewire since 2001 and im having some problems getting it to go past the "You are currently connecting to the network" stage.

I get one green bar and its stayed like that for around 10 mins (longest ive left it).

im running version 4.14.12

my system specs are.

Windows Vista Business
3GB RAM
2.2GHz C2D
160GB HDD

Im using a DSL-G605T D-link wirless router with UPnP turned off and Zonealarm basic edition on the laptop. ive tryed opening the ports on the router and pointing limewire at them but to no avail any help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
