Hi im using vista home basic been using it since april 2007.
On this pc is an amd 2ghz with 2g ram.
Never had one issue with any limewire version ive ever used n 3 years.
Few days before new years eve, I hadn't changed anything on this pc at all including not even getting any windows updates etc everything was the same as the day before when I used limewire fine.
I tried to open limewire as normal and it starts up starts loading its things then goes "boom" shuts down and its gone.
I have tried every single thing I can think of turned off uninstalled all security software firewalls etc completely un installed limewire using your uninstaller removed all reg entries folders etc re installed the new version from the site restarted etc etc and still the same result.
I am using this pc through a Dlink Dl-704UP router however I was using limewire fine for 2 weeks prior to this happening through the same router.
It just crashes.As you can see ive been using it for 3 years and have not even needed to register to come here yet for any problems.
I obviously wouldn't have bothered if I wasn't completely stumped as to why it crashes out of the blue with nothing changed.
Im a bit upset this has just happened because nothing was changed to make it happen it is like someone has made it crash it is very strange indeed.
If you have any clues as to why its doing this I would be more than happy to try them however I don't hold much hope as this seems very bizarre like MS has stopped me using it or something.

Ok now it just all of a sudden works.After 4 days.The only thing I did was remove Alcohol120% which has also been on here since april and caused no problems.Very strange.

wow, im glad you said that... i unistalled alcohol 52% and now my limewire works.... WTF!
