Songs won't play
 

I just got a new computer with vista.. and i downloaded limewire and i downloaded my first song and it will not play. I tried playing it in windows media player and it says it may be something with the proxy??

help?!

Hey slgeorge01, the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago when I got my new laptop with vista on it. As soon as I installed Limewire, none of my songs would play in iTunes and windows media player gave the error message about proxies..... I also noticed other things like folder icons changing randomly and other wierd stuff almost like it had a virus. Uninstalling limewire did nothing... The only thing that worked for me was backing everything up and doing a system restore to before I installed limewire and now my mp3's play again. I think it has something to do with vista and limewire just not working together... i'm just using bittorrent now to get my songs but i liked limewire better. whatever. i hope they fix it. Has anyone else figured out what's going on??

I think i read that its a glitch/problem they need to fix. Not sure about the windows media thing - it might nto have the right server.
