can not burn dvd

O.k. I have vista I can download movie and it will play on computer but wont play in dvd player once burnt to a disk . Is there something I have to download to burn a playable burnt dvd because of vista. Help .

Have you finalised and what format are you burning as?

DRC, You have to convert the file... say from an AVI File to DVD Format. Nero or something simular will do this.
I use AVS
