Hi all,

I have just downloaded the newest form of limewire from the officiall website and can't get to to connect. I am running windows vista 32 and there seem to be several other problems that could help with decifering the problem.

*When i close limewire the process remains in the taskmanager and will not go away even when you right click and say end process.
* I have zonealarm and have given it the relevant expections and have disabled it to see if this worked and it didn't
* I have a belkin router and have opened both ports
*Going to the change port menu and trying to change a port crashes the program
*Processes remain in task manager until reboot even when program is uninstalled


Any ideas?

3. How much ram? 2gb
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? aol broadband limewire has worked here before
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? belkin 54
7. Where are you trying to connect from: house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? newest
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? your test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. utorrent, azureus and a few other pc's linked by wire to router
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. intermediate user level uninstalled etc no luck
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? can't change it as limewire crashes
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? avg 7.5 pro
16. What country are you living in? aol uk
