12% HTML I still don't don't understand

I am having the same problem as many others on trying to install Limewire and getting stuck at 12% loading HTML. I know there is already a thread on this but I still don't get it. I searched for and uninstalled all the Limewire files I could find. (I never did see one that said shared file) I uninstalled Java and re-installed it. I didn't completely understand caffienenniccotine's advice on changing the folders so I wasn't able to do that. I think I need a little more detail. I also tried installing Limewire from the link that was posted in one of the threads by Sticky. It didn't work for me.

I know I'm totally dumb when it comes to this but is there anything I can do to get Limewire up and running again? I've had Vista since August and Limewire was OK until recently. Please be specific because as I said, I'm pretty dumb when it comes to all the behind the scenes workings of my computer. I would sincerely appreiciate any help I can get.
