Limewire takes up a lot of my bandwidth etc. so i generally don't keep it running unless i'm downloading something. For some reason, it's started booting up without warning. I turn on my computer, and Limewire starts up. I shut Limewire down, and several seconds later, it starts up again.
I've had to uninstall Limewire to keep my computer from lagging out too much while i do other stuff.
how do i stop it from doing that?

Maybe your computer's infected.
Are you also not able to access LW's tools > options? Sometimes that problem goes along with the popping up thing.

Have a look at the thread below for a few different fixes to try. If nothing helps, there are links to sites that offer specialised help for malware issues

If you can't access LW's options either, download AVG Free AV. Update AVG & then scan your computer. There's a link for download in the thread below.
