![]() Running LW Pro 4.14.12. First off - I have no problems with my Firewall etc. It worked from the getgo ![]() I am experiencing LW freeze after a few days of operation. It seems to signal that it's about to freeze by a) slowing down which means that when I select a file for download it takes a minute or so to drop the file into the download folder. When it does that is comes up with a message saying that (essentially) that LW has an internal error and that it needs to shut down or that you can continue what you are doing. Either way if I restart it loses my download library and all the files I have pains takingly research and readied for a download. It does NOT crash Vista. Some facts. Using Dell XP dual core @2.66Ghz w 4gb ram ATI Radeon x1300Pro. 1.5Tb HD's The files I download are large (Audio books) typically >20mb and I will search and earmark sometimes over 500 (large) files. So my download library is pretty big So I am wondering if I am stressing LW to the max and causing it to fail - anyone with idea's? I am OK with rebooting but ticked off ![]() |

![]() Is the freeze only happening when you're actively downloading? Try the tips here: Reduce the drag caused by LW To disable ultrapeer capabilities in new versions, tools > options > advanced > performance. While you're there, also disable Mojito DHT capabilities...that might help as well. The Java version that you'll link to from that post is now Java 6 update 4. If you still have the same problem, try this older version of Java. Download the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java before you install this one.
