vista won't even start

alright i had limewire and after a little bit my computer would start but after the loading screen it just wouldn't start and would stay black but the cursor was still there so i gave it to the geeksquad people and they fixed it and they told me it was because i installed limewire and it wasn't fit for vista yet and it corrupted my operating system. so now i saw they have it for vista would that fix my problem????

It should. Just make sure you download the latest version of Limewire, and also make sure you have the latest compatible Java. I have Vista Home Premium and Java 1.6 has been working great for me. Good luck!

Right click on the Limewire Icon on you desktop, click "Properties", go to the tab "Compatibility", check the box, "Run this program in Compatitbility mode for:" and make sure it says "Windows XP (Service Pack 2"

Now open Limewire,

works like a charm.
