I have been using limewrie for a while. When I upgraded limewire to the newer version it stopped working and show the firewall symbol. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have Deleted the preferences and uninstalled and reinstalled Java. It still will not connect. I see this is an ongoing problem with this version. I have installed this version on a computer running XP and it works fine. How do I get ti to work on the Vista pc?

My comp.. is sick so short and sweet. Download Frostwire.com Limewires cousin. There you will find A LOCKED version of Limewire Pro. (only use if you have bought this) Or the free version if you havent.
Regards Bryan. UNinstall Lime wire first via its own uninstall program NOT via the microsoft uninstall route as this can leave indestructible residual files

Default Still no good

I tried Frostwire and still had exactly the same results. I know it is something either compatablity with Vista or with this specific computer. The exact same program works great on XP and did on Vista ultimate until I upgraded to 4.16. Then it quit working all together. Thanks for trying to help me though.
