I have basically the same problem. My internet connection is perfect, my limewire was automatically listed as an exception for my Windows firewall, and I don't presently have a specific antivirus program. I've even tried creating new ports for limewire in the firewall. Even with all of that, though, my limewire still won't fully connect, and it just shows the last bar. It doesn't even tell me that it can't seem to connect, it just...doesn't fully connect. Just what in the world is going on here...

Cassie, I know a LOT of people who have had issues with Windstream, particularly in the p2p and online gaming arenas. You might want to call them and see if they have any fixes for you. They're doing a lot of DNS redirection now, but I haven't heard of any p2p interference due to that yet.

Then again, I haven't heard much good about Windstream, but they have a captive audience. Most of the people they service have no other options for internet connection, much less broadband.

Let us know if you call Windstream and what they said, would you?

Good luck!
