Some internet providers Block people.
Soo you are a dial up or DSL.

Sorry Windstream i think they Block Lw.I m not really sure about that. But some one eles here could tell you.

I know Windstream couldn't be the problem because I have a friend that lives out in the country also and has Windstream as her provider and can use Limewire!

Not sure if I am dial up of DSL!

I am thinking dial up only becasue the account is under a phone number and connected to the phone line, the only reason I wasn't sure was because we don't have a land line we use, but it has to be dial up, but it runs awfull fast for dial up, or can DSL be through a phone line also.

From what i understand Windows vista has a anti virus all ready installed.Right
If you do have it that is what is blocking you.You can delete it and it should work fine.If you need a new anti virus than here is a link For Avg.
AVG Anti-Spyware - Reviews and free AVG Anti-Spyware downloads at Download.com

If you delete The one anti virus you got with the windows vista than limewire should work fine.Because I cant remember what it was but that Anti virus most likely is the suspect.

Thanks! Do you know what it might be called or where I could find it to delete it?
The Window Vista is new to me so any help would be great!

Thanks

I deleted that along time ago! So I went today and shut off everything possible that could be blocking it and I went and redownloaded limewire and it showed I still had firewall on and it was still showing one bar! ??? I am soo confused I had everything off so is there something else I am missing! I am starting to hate Windows Vista!
