Resolution

Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and that seemed to solve the internationalization issue. I then uninstalled my old firewall (zonealarm, there was a port filter that was in place that wouldnt take my settings) and Limewire connected. I then installed Comods firewall and allowed upnp in Limewire to set the port address. Came up and connected no problem. Hope this helps.

Best

Try changing Java versions. You can either update to the latest version here: Java SE Downloads
or, if the latest update doesn't help, try this older version: Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
Whichever Java version you use, download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions before installing another one.

If changing Java doesn't help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed.
This will change all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Did you try uninstalling ZA?

Have you tried the latest stable release (4.16.6) or the latest Beta (4.17.4)?
See whether they're any better (sometimes it's just that certain versions cause problems for some people, but a different version will work fine).

Have you been able to use any earlier versions of LW with Vista? If you haven't tried an earlier version, here's a link to download 4.14.8...see whether that one loads.
LW Basic 4.14.8.exe
