![]() Greetings - LW had been working fine up to yesterday. Today, it never moves beyond 'starting connection'. I updated to the latest version - I had been using 4.14.8. still have full access listed under my firewall. what gives? i use vista home premium mcafee security 2G ram 30 gb free cable (comcast) lynsys wireless LW 4.16.6, jave 1.6.0 the test worked. i have a firewall - mcafee but have give LW full access i live in the us. my internet connection is working and is strong. I have restarted my pc several times, all to no avail. I appreciate any help. Thanks, Luke ps. ![]() Was it after you updated that LW stopped connecting, or did you update because the old version had stopped connecting? Try removing all of the LW rules from McAfee's config & start from scratch. Also, double check that the Windows firewall is off. If that doesn't help, check the thread below for more fixes to try. If LW Will Not Connect What's the model of your Linksys (if it's not showing on top, have a look underneath the router)? Where are you connecting from (house, apartment, work, school, dorm)? |

![]() The reason I asked where you connect from is because a school or office might've started blocking access to p2p. And an appartment complex might have added/updated a firewall associated with it's internet connection. Did you use any of the fixes within the thread I linked to yesterday? If none of those things worked, try port forwarding for your router.The instructions are here. Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54GS Don't forget to set up a static IP address first. LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within router setup should all be the same number. |
