This is strange.. (problems moving files to iTunes) I had a problem about two days ago with getting my limewire songs onto my iTunes so I can have them on my iPod. I never had problems before and I've been doing it for months. I decided to uninstall, then reinstall limewire. I did this and when I started downloading songs, instead of going into the 'shared' folder as usual, they went to a 'saved' file. When I tried to import them into my iTunes, I tried to import the 'saved' file and only some songs got imported. I tried importing individually. It still didn't work. Then I tried uninstalling again today, and when it said the uninstall was complete, limewire was still in my programs list. It wouldn't let me open it. When I clicked "uninstall" again, it said that the shortcut for uninstall couldn't be found. I even tried going through the control panel to uninstall and it still wouldn't. I deleted the shortcuts, I tried everything. I then installed limewire again anyway, and still had the same problem with them going to a 'saved' file and not working in iTunes. I uninstalled again, and the same thing happened. So I deleted the shortcuts, and restarted my computer and its still in my system. Help? All my software is updated, btw. Also, I do routine maintenance on my computer like disk cleanup, disk defrag, virus scans, etc. So what do I do? Thanks |

The location of the saved & shared folders have changed in newer versions of LW & this can effect how files show in your library. If you've updated to the latest LW & suddenly find that your files aren't showing in your library, this might help. Click on this (if youve updated your LW and cant find your downloads) Also when you uninstall LW it does remain in the Programs Directory - you have to go in there and delete it.
