Starting connection

I'm struggling to get my Limewire session connected, keep getting message in the bottom right of the app saying "Starting Connection", which doesn't ever change. All my searches return nothing, can search but can't find a single tune. I think I need to connect 1st but how?

Any ideas why I cannot connect, would be appreciated?

I'm on Vista with Zonealarm firewall
