Limewire Boots Me Off Internet

I load up limewire on my Belkin F5 model, and then it cuts my connection with the whole internet & limewire itself. i was given a website to change my ip or something like that but stil it doesnt work. really would appreciate some help out there for all you tech-geniuses!
getting beyond a joke now lol

Are you Running Vista with McAfee, by chance??

i am running vista with Norton, but i had a different modem before this one and had no problems downloading off limewire with the other modem which i dont have in my possesion any more (N)

Make sure that LW has Full access through Norton. Also make sure that you don't have a MS Windows firewall enabled.
