![]() alright, so i followed the instructions about the limewire restarting after shut down, & the options not popping up, neither windows defender or norton found the trojan so i used the kaspersky & it deleted all the trojans, & when the trojan was there, the only folder that would pop up under shared files was a folder with the apostrophe (') so after the trojan was deleted, i thought about uninstalling LimeWire & installing it again, just to start fresh, i went to uninstall it from the uninstaller that comes with LimeWire & the computer couldn't find it when i clicked on it. so, i went to the uninstaller that's in Vista, & it said that LimeWire had already been uninstall & just took the name off the list, but i was still able to click on LimeWire & it load just fine. so i just re-installed limewire without really uninstalling it, & it started just fine, so i went to configure my options & my shared folder, & when i clicked on the shared folder that i normally use, the (') folder came up, & it freezes. so. i want to know, is the trojan really gone, & it's just my computer, or is it LimeWire? |

![]() okay. thanks. i finally got it off, & i was able to remove the (') folder from sharing, but i've never been able to see the folder, where it says that it's located, even when i used search, i still couldn't find it. i tried unhiding hidden folders, but it still wasn't there. is there anyway to find out if it's still there, & how to delete it? |

![]() Trojans and viruses are tricky rotten things... They cause a lot of people a lot of unnecessary heartache. Sometimes I wish them (the virus writers) all to BillyO and hope something equally as troubling happens to them. If they put their time into something productive we'd all be a lot better off. |
