![]() Is it possible or do I NEED to configure Limewire in some way to work with my Vista or something because when I had an XP I never had any trouble whatsoever with Limewire but now that I have a Vista sometimes (okay, a lot of times) when I open Limewire and get a song(s) downloading, they will not get above 3-5kb download speed and I see no reason for this to happen. I've tried going to the settings/preferences and tweaking them around but nothing has helped. I don't know what to do but it's driven me to the point where I've had to try out different downloading programs because there's nothing I can do. I don't want to have to do that because I hate all the other downloading programs, they suck. I'm used to Limewire so I don't want to give it up. I have Cable, for reference. |

![]() That's just the way it goes.. A lot of the time people have 4-5 other people downloading from them at the same time and that can effect the speed which you are able to download songs at. If you can get roughly 40% of downloads going at 14-15kbs you are doing about average. i wouldn't worry too much, it sounds like LimeWire is working OK. |

![]() Hi Gang. It's great to find this Forum. There's some great info here. Problem: Firewall detected: No connection to Limewire. XP-Pro - Firewal;l has been turned off/on, On my own network...same as home, but I get the firewall detection message. Limewire is listed in Firewall Expections (two files). Router is UPnd - OK. Suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
