$21.95 is normal price for 6 months support & updates.
There was an offer for LW without free updates. It appears LW has stopped that offer.
If you are a present pro user, over the last month of your support they offer you a discount to continue. You would click the link they give you in the email to get that discount offer.

I'm not sure about the security option, but am aware they dropped one form of the payments type. I suspect that might be related. I think it was paypal they dropped.

If you go to the bottom of the payment page, there is a Submit Securely button option.
