Windows Message- stopped working

I have Vista Ultimate 64- bit and I have everything updated (Java, windows update, etc.) Running 4 gb ram, built my own gaming rig. When I open up LW about 3 sec. in comes a message saying "LW has stopped working, windows will notify you of a solution when available". Obviously, no notification. Any suggestions?
