Default Help!!!! Please!!!! (thousands of 115.6 kb zip files)

LW is downloading thousands and thousands of 115.6 kb zip files. They are everything from porn to music to programs. Some of the stuff are things I have looked up online about music. I don't know how to stop it, and whenever I click on configure shared files the window pops open and closes before I can even read anything. Also I try going to tools-options and the same exact thing happens. Right now the count of shared files I have is over 25,000 and it is going up rapidly. Limewire freezes up every time i try something. It is still counting the number of shared files and it is going up like crazy. I don't have the time to waut and see how many there are. The folder they are in has no name and I cant find any of them anywhere on my computer! I just got this laptop 2 weeks ago! PLEASE HELP I can't get Limewire to respond to my email either!

You are infected with a virus.
It would be best to do a complete scan of your system with your antivirus program, making sure that it has been fully updated to contain the latest virus definitions.
If you are running your computer without a current antivirus program then you are just asking for trouble. And that's just plain silly.
If you read the "Sticky"s at the beginning of some of these forums there is information there about what and how to do what is necessary to eliminate this problem.
Just uninstalling Limewire is not enough you have to actively hunt down this virus and let your anti virus software deal with it.
Try these two threads and see if either of them helps: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...setup-exe.html and http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...uld-aware.html
they are about very similar problems to what you appear to be having.

What Antivirus program are you using? Try d/loading AVG free (click on link) update it and do a scan, then follow the prompts.

I am using Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 14. I will try the AVG though.
