Exclamation LW Doesn't Connect

I am on Windows Vista. I've had LW for a long time. It has been working before but today it's not working. It also says I have a firewall now. But i disabled it in McAfee and it still doesn't work. I've had both running before and it normally doesn't cause a problem. I have Cable internet, Windows Vista 32-bit. I have the newest version of LW as well.
I only get one connection bar. Any solutions?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Try the fixes in the thread below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details.

Did you have trouble with any of the fixes in that help thread (ie not sure if you did things right or didn't want to try)?

After you deleted the preferences folder, did you have to go thru LW's setup wizard all over again? Did you also look for a prefs folder in the old location of C:\Documents and Settings\your username\.limewire?

Go to the gnutella.net file, hover your mouse over the file & see what the file size is...if it's 0 Kb then replace that file again.

Did you also try the older Java version & make sure to delete all other Javas installed before updat1ng/rolling back versions?

Did the problem start after you updated LW?

What's the model of your D-Link?
