Exclamation Cannot Save Settings At Start up???!?!?!?!

Before everyone bites my head off and says read the pref folder thread i have read it and looked in the appdata folder no limewire folder exists in it. every time i start LW it says cannot save settings created a temp folder settings may be deleted when LW closes and it does the same thing every time i open it. i have the latest version 4.18.3 Pro and Java is up to date. I am at witts end here any help would be appreciated. Thnx in advance

Well, we all know you didn't pay for your pro.

Sounds like a permissions issue. Did you set your installer to Admin like it says in the VISTA section Stickies?

yes installer is set to run as admin as well just going nutz over here wit this prob and i might have paid for my pro........ just passing the word along

Sorry but passing the word along is against the forum rulez. It is considered breach of Warez rule.

Check ownership of the folder you are installing or did install into. Also check ownership of the actual program, surrounding folder & parent folders. There may be an issue there. I am aware LW has done something odd with permissions for installing LW.

Also check compatibility mode, perhaps worth swapping it around.

sorry not trying to be a rebel or anything here lol should have read a lil closer on the warez ( my bad ) i checked the permissions and all users have full access (admin)

I checked out everything you said very carfully and still the same result should i just uninstall and reinstall? Will that help?

well just to let you know uninstalling it worked for me i deleted everything that said limewire and reinstalled works fine now
